Riau Police Criminal Investigation Director, Kombes Nasriadi, said the case was discovered after the police received information regarding suspicious activity. Next, the police came down with the Dumai Police, which was attended directly by the Police Chief, AKBP Dhovan.
“This disclosure is based on information from the public and cyber patrols. During the patrol it was discovered that there were activities making and selling High Domino game IDs and containing elements of gambling in Dumai City,” said Nasriadi as reported by detikSumut, Friday (1/3/2024).
“A total of 32 people were detained for questioning at the Riau Regional Police for examination. The results of the examination revealed that one suspect named Robby Bahtera Randika was in Banyumas City, Central Java,” said Nasriadi.
While being hunted, the perpetrator had already moved towards Jakarta, but was then detained by the Cyber Team of Polda Metro Jaya and Taman Sari Police. Based on the testimony of witnesses and evidence, the police finally named five people as suspects.
“Their turnover will be IDR 18 billion since 2022-2024 operations,” added Nasriadi.
